ATI Sp. z o.o. is a spin-off company of the Poznań Science and Technology Park, established in 2024. The company was cofounded by scientists who are developing a technology based on designable salicylates—active substances designed and synthesised as a result of scientific projects carried out at the Poznań Science and Technology Park.
The use of designable salicylates improve plant resistance to both abiotic and biotic stresses, while also stimulating plant growth and development. These patented active substances are derivatives of salicylic acid that have been modified through targeted changes to its chemical structure. Designable salicylates support higher crop yields and strengthen plants’ natural defence mechanisms. As a result, plants become less vulnerable to unfavourable growing conditions, such as drought, and to the harmful effects of diseases caused by plant pathogens, including viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
The company has granted two sublicences for the use of designable salicylates, which are currently used as active ingredients in biostimulant products available across Central and Eastern Europe. ATI Sp. z o.o. is an example of the successful transfer and commercialisation of knowledge generated through many years of research conducted by a scientific institution.
